Privacy Policy

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password
• Profile information: profile photo, bio, professional details (for agents/companies)
• Company/verification information: company name, CAC registration number, professional credentials, government-issued identification, and other documents submitted for verification review
• Property listing information: photos, descriptions, location, price, and related details
• Communications: messages sent to other users, reviews you write, support requests

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages viewed, searches performed, listings favorited, general interaction with the Platform
• Device and log information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers
• Location data: the general location associated with your searches or listings (property coordinates you or others provide — RealtyBridge does not currently collect your device's precise real-time location)

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google, in accordance with Google's own terms and your consent at the time of sign-in

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Operate core Platform features: listings, search, messaging, bookings, reviews, and the verification system
• Review and process verification submissions
• Communicate with you (account notifications, password resets, service updates)
• Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Platform (fraud prevention, content moderation)
• Improve and develop the Platform
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Under the NDPR, we process your personal information based on:

• Your consent — for example, when you sign up or choose to submit verification documents
• Performance of a contract — to provide the services you've requested by creating an account
• Legitimate interest — for platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
• Legal obligation — where required by applicable Nigerian law

• With other users, as intended by the Platform's design — for example, your public profile, listings, and reviews are visible to other users; messages are shared with the recipient you send them to
• With service providers who help us operate the Platform — currently including Supabase (database and authentication hosting) and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us
• For legal reasons — if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or respond to a valid legal request
• In a business transfer — if RealtyBridge is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy (or a policy at least as protective)

We do not share verification documents (identification, CAC certificates, etc.) publicly — these are reviewed internally by authorized RealtyBridge staff/moderators solely for verification purposes.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that restrict who can view sensitive information (such as verification documents) to authorized personnel only, and encrypted connections between your device and our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under the NDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (this may limit your ability to use certain features)
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information
• Data portability — request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format

RealtyBridge may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some Platform features.

RealtyBridge is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we've collected information from a child under 18, we'll take steps to delete it.

RealtyBridge's infrastructure providers (such as our database hosting) may process data on servers located outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection, consistent with NDPR requirements for cross-border data transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active users.
